How long does a private trumpet lesson last?

What if I want to attend more than 1 class per week?

Our Music Maker Membership program is perfect for you! It includes your primary group or private lesson and a range of options for ADDITIONAL classes you can attend. Ask us how to customize this great program for yourself

Do I need to own my own instrument?

We recommend having an instrument at home for practice. For beginners, we highly advise renting a trumpet first. Our instructors can recommend reputable local rental shops during your first lesson.

How long are the lessons?

Standard private lessons are 30 minutes once a week. Advanced students can opt for 45 or 60-minute sessions. Group classes run for 45 minutes.

Can I start in the middle of a semester?

Absolutely. Private lessons are tailored to your pace, so you can enroll at any time.

What is the cancellation policy?

We require 24 hours' notice for a makeup lesson credit. Please refer to our studio policy handbook provided upon registration.

At our Madison Ave campus, beginner students learn proper buzz technique using Bach 7C mouthpieces, the industry-standard size that provides optimal support and resistance for developing facial muscles without causing premature fatigue or bad habits.

Our trumpet curriculum focuses heavily on breath control and articulation, aligning directly with the California Arts Standards for Music (Grade 6-8, Proficient, Anchor Standard 5: Developing and Refining Artistic Techniques).
